The Joint Technical Unit

The Luton and Central Bedfordshire Joint Technical Unit (JTU) are responsible for both the preparation and co-ordination of a Local Development Framework for Luton and Southern part of Central Bedfordshire. 

The JTU reports to the Joint Planning Committee which is made up of elected members from both constituent  authorities in addition to observers from neighbouring Councils.
