Core Strategy ExaminationThe Luton and South Bedfordshire Joint Committee resolved on the 29th July 2011 to seek the withdrawal of the Luton and southern Central Bedfordshire Joint Core Strategy. The Secretary of State has now directed that the Joint Core Strategy must be withdrawn. As a result of the Secretary of State's decision, the Core Strategy examination has now come to an end. Further details can be viewed by clicking the link below Exploratory Meeting The Inspector called an Exploratory Meeting (EM). This was held on Wednesday 18 May 2011 at Central Bedfordshire Council Offices, High Street North, Dunstable. Please click here to view documents relating to the Exploratory Meeting. The Core Strategy and associated documentation was formally submitted to the Secretary of State on 8th March 2011. Following the Exploratory Meeting, the examination has been suspended until 6th December 2011. A Pre-Hearing Meeting is likely to occur in mid-December.
